My friends and I are thinking about doing our first ghost investigation. We have heard many people say that it is dangerous because we can bring ghosts home with us. Is this true and how can we protect ourselves against a bad one?

Hi Robert..There is no simple answer for these two questions, I will try to answer them to the best of my knowledge..

First I would not go on a ghost investigation with out some knowledge of pranormal ivestigations or investigation safety.

There are many different things you need to take along on an investigation, you just can't get in the car and go..

The number one priority on an investigation
is the safety of you and your team..

Looking for spirits is not something to take lightly, someone could get hurt..

If I were you I would go to my local pranormal group and ask them if you can train with them, most groups will say yes and take you under their wing..

Then you know you will have the right training taught by investigators that have experience..
You asked how you can protect yourself against a bad spirit..

Chips Team members say a prayer before each and every investigation..We pray for protection and to be surrounded by the white light..

Imagine you are in a cloud of white light that extends at least 6 feet in all directions, making an oval or egg shape around your body.

Hold that vision for a while until you feel you have a force field around yourself.

This is an appeal to your subconscious mind and will repel any negativity directed at you by others regardless of their intentions.

If you are surrounded by the white light I believe nothing can harm you..

I know that spirits can cause a myriad of problems for the living, if they so desire..

There are many reasons why a spirit follow you..

You might remind them of someone from their past.

If a person died in a murderous rage and his victims escaped, then your family might be the new target of his unfinished business.

It could be an evil entity that has centered itself upon the goodness of your soul. Moving would not help.

It might be fixated on you..It will indeed follow you..spirits do roam the mortal realm if they have unfinished business to attend to..

Spirits are usually attached to the location they are in..Some spirits attach themselves to objects, if the object is moved the spirit follows the object..

If a spirit is bound to you for any other reason, (an Ouija Board summoning), may cause that spirit to follow you also.

Being attached to a loved one, might cause the spirit to follow that loved one if he/she moves.

As I stated there are many different opinions on this subject like night and day..

My advice to you is to get some training under your belt and then, you and your team can go in search of the truth..
